Leadership and Learning!

What an amazing night at Switch! I learned so much about leadership in the past 48 hrs. Allow me to share with you. It all started about 3 o’clock on Tuesday I called one of my amazing leaders and asked her to lead or leader meeting. By noon on Wednesday I had given away the entire night to our wonderful leaders from the meeting, all the stage time including the close and call to Christ.

Don’t get me wrong it’s not that I didn’t want to all that stuff I just felt like I was supposed to give it away. Turned out to be an unbelievable night and it was all thanks to some truly amazing leaders. I suppose I could have tried to do it all on my own, yet not even Jesus tried to do it on his own.

He frequently gave his disciples opportunities to show their leadership. Then why would I assume only I can do it. Why would I just assign my leaders simple task. They are capable of far more.
Leaders don’t limit those they lead
Leaders challenge those around them
Leaders admit when they don’t know it all
Leaders can’t be afraid to go against the grain
Leaders help others become leaders
Leaders don’t keep all the fun jobs for themselves
