Jesus in a Box

Do you keep Jesus in a box? What kind of question is that you might be asking? Let’s think about it, most of us have boxes of things stored on shelves that we don’t use all the time. Whether it’s holiday decorations, clothing for a particular season, things you use in case of  an emergency, or maybe old memorabilia. We pull them out and then when were done we put them right back on the shelf till need again.

Now I ask you again – do you keep Jesus in a box?

Does your Jesus only come out at holidays and then when Christmas and Easter are over Jesus goes back in the box with the lights and the bunnies?

Does your Jesus only come out when times are hard like a first aid kit or weather radio?

Does your Jesus only come out when you’re trying to show off to people like you do your kids old art work?

What would it look like if Jesus lived and walked with us daily and we didn’t keep him in a box on shelf and only pulled him out when need? Would our lives look different or the same?  If Jesus is truly the leader of your life then you would see the world as he sees it. You would see the hurting, the broken, and the lost. So, take Jesus out of the box and let him lead you every day!
