It’s Finished

It is finished! After 7 months from when it began my little girl Adriana is now officially mine. As we were standing before the judge and I watched him sign the final decree it brought tears to my eyes. It made my heart happy to know that it was official. Even though I know it’s just really paperwork and that no matter what she was and would always be my daughter brought closer for me and my wife to something that started out so tragic almost 3 years ago.

It’s always amazing to see God use anything for His glory. One of the things that I love about this is that as God children adopted in to His family I had the chance to the same thing for an amazing little girl. The other day we asked her if she was ready to be a Parker and she said “I thought I already was” and in our hearts and minds she was.

Thank you for all faithful prayers and support on so many levels. In a case where we know it was all God who made it happen.

Check out a few pics of my little girl over the years.

AMEN! We are so blessed and so loved by our Heavenly Father! The prayers, support and financial blessings that made this all possible are amazing. We showed up for court in February literally with an army full of people ready to go to battle for our daughter’s best interest and there were countless people (some we do not even know) praying over that day. What a wonderful story of God’s love we have to tell because we had no idea how He was going to take over the situation and make things happen that we had only dreamed about and in such a short amount of time. We have an awesome story of Faith to tell to others now and I am so excited to watch His plan unfold for our lives.

Vince – you are such an amazing leader, husband and father! Adriana is so blessed to have you in her life, to lead her, guide her and raise her; to teach her all the wonderful things a father has to teach his daughter about growing up into a Godly young woman. I love you so, so much!

Oh, I also look forward to the day I just stand back and watch her introduce you to the boy she likes…now THAT will make a funny story!

Reading this brought tears to my eyes. I honestly had no idea this was going on even though I had seen the word “adoption” in some posts, I thought you two were adopting another child. I just had it in mind that this was a done deal. Now that I understand it wasn’t, until now, I can’t tell you how happy, excited, thrilled, etc that I am for all of you. God has truely blessed you all.

    Vince,

You have always been there for my wonderful niece and I am so happy that you will help guide her through out the years. You made us all aware how much you love your wife and your DAUGHTER :) when you surprised us all with a side bar at your wedding to make a secret promise to her. Everyone asked me what you said and luckily I could say I have no idea due to the tears I was holding back and that will be something special you will share. It is so wonderful to see how much she loves you.
