Ok…… the NBA Finals are here and I think the Lakers in 5. It will Interesting to see how the Magic perform they have had a great run to get tho Finals. I looking forward to another great set of games. Listen to song below Kobe Bryant On Em by Sho Baraka.

What is it to truly be humble?
Humble yourselves before the Lord, and he will exalt you. James 4:10
When pride comes, then comes disgrace, but with the humble is wisdom. Proverbs 11:2
It’s so easy to get caught up in being prideful of our accomplishments even if we don’t state it out loud. Let us walk in humility in our actions and out thoughts.
ENDURANCE

2: the ability to withstand hardship or adversity; especially: the ability to sustain a prolonged stressful effort or activity 3: the act or an instance of enduring or suffering It’s not always easy living in the world, seems no matter who you are there is something going on that we would rather not have to deal with. Pain and hardship suffering thru the good and the bad. Sometimes it seems like there might not be an end in sight. It’s not sprint it is a marathon and his steadfast love endures forever 1 Chronicles 16:34. He is our Joy our Hope. We should never take our eyes of him. We can do all things thru Christ who strengthens us Philippians 4:13. Nothing is too big for our heavenly father; we need to stop looking at things thru our eyes. Consider it pure joy, my brothers, whenever you face trials of many kinds, because you know that the testing of your faith develops perseverance. 4Perseverance must finish its work so that you may be mature and complete, not lacking anything James 1 2:4

Now ask yourself are you being intentional with you relationship with you spouse, children Jesus or are you just letting things happen. I can’t say that I am all the time. I use to say things don’t just happen on there own, but that’s a lie. They do it may not be what we want but something is going to happen whether it’s what we are being intentional about or not. So as we begin a new month the start of summer let us be intentional about how we live. Let us purposely live a Gospel centered life.
Do something
I hate lying around doing nothing, its no fun at all. Now don’t get me wrong I enjoy it when it’s by choice. But this weekend will have been three weeks that I have laid up in bed and not been able to get out and do something. Yes I’ve watched TV (that’s a blog in itself) I’ve done some reading even been doing some work from home. Yet it’s not the same, I’m just lying around doing nothing can’t run around outside with my kids, go out on a date with my wife. Hang out with friends and family, but I’ve had a lot of time to think………..think……….think and I can tell you I’ve learned a lot about myself. Not because I’ve read a book, or saw a show, or heard a good podcast but I’ve had to examine who I am. No not something I did on purpose it’s just kind of happen over the past couple of weeks.
It’s amazing how God works he has revealed things to me about me that I already know but denied. Like for instance I’m not a very relational type person, don’t get me wrong I like people I like to hang out with people as long as they’re doing what I want to do. I need to be more intentional about relationship God is a relationship God and he created us to be relationship people. Next I hate conflict, so I avoid it not sure why I just do maybe I’m afraid of the outcome. I am not a patient person at all hear the deal I don’t have time to be. I know I could be better at what I do.
What good is knowing this if you refuse to do anything about? See for years with all my flaws I have known pretty much all this about myself but refused to acknowledge it. Why should I people presume I was a good person, a good leader? Maybe I am but just because we are good don’t mean we can’t do better.
We have to be more intentional at how we live our lives. God has a purpose for each of us he wants more for us than just skating by. Just because others look at you and say your good doesn’t mean your cant do better. We just can’t skate by when we live for Christ.
Call Me Crazy…………
Call me crazy but I believe in Jesus Christ the one true God sent by the Father led by the Spirit. Humbling himself, he experienced live as a man, yet still fully God. Jesus lived a sinless life the life that we should live. Yet he died the death that we as sinners should die a horrible death on the cross as the perfect sacrifice. Then he Rose 3 days later defeating sin death and atoning for our sins. Now I live a God centered live not perfect but led by the spirit of God to use what God has given me. So that I might share who he is and what he has done in my life with others. Call me crazy but that’s what I believe!
Kobe, Lebron Maybe, Maybe Not…………..
I saw these commercial while watching the NBA playoffs and thought I would share them with you. What I find interesting is that a lot of money has been spent to hype Kobe and Lebron would make it to the NBA finals. The Lakers our tied 1-1 with the Nuggets and the Cavs are down 1 game to the Magic. Now I know the series aren’t over yet and Kobe and Lebron are both amazing players and it still might be a Kobe Lebron NBA Final I still wonder what if they don’t. Things that make you go hummmm…………………….
