Not my will but your will be done. One year ago I could have made tons of excuse to not quit my job or when things weren’t going right to go get another job. That’s what the world will tell you, but if I had I would have missed out on everything God had for me. See I didn’t just believe in God but I trusted in him. When it seemed like no hope God is my hope, my strength, my provider he is all I need. There are many stories in the bible about those who had to decide if they were going to trust God and his will or do there on thing. Noah, Abraham, Moses and Jesus who said not my will but yours be done. (Luke 22:41-43) The Question you have to ask yourself now is. Whose will are you living for yours or God? I hope this week’s look back on my life has been an encouragement to you. If you want to know more fill free to ask.
Here in O-city (Oklahoma City) it’s a nice day outside the temp is just right, the wind has a nice breeze. My daughter is on spring break, my wife is taking her to Arbuckle Wilderness (one of those drive thru type zoo were the animals run wild as you drive thru). I’m about to leave for a mission trips with about 75 student and 20 leaders. GOD is so amazing. Yet it is not because of all the things that are going right but because he is God. So if I had woke up this morning and it was bad weather and my car wouldn’t start it’s still a beautiful day.
This is the day that the Lord has made; let us rejoice and be glad in it.
Psalm 118:24

TV is going all digital, the iPod nano is about to change the game again for mp3 players. Whether its fashion, technology, media or social networking the world is constantly moving and changing, some would say for better others for worse. Change by definition means to make different it could be huge or so small you will never notice. You might like the change, take the new facebook update. If you are Twitter Junkie like me you might love it. Yet all the people who are not into twitter are like I don’t like it I don’t want my Facebook to look like twitter. Does anybody remember when they changed the Coke formula what a stir that brought on? Throughout history so many changes have occurred like it or love it some good some bad so have better the world some have not. Yet there is one thing that has not changed.
Jesus Christ is the same yesterday and today and forever. Hebrews 13:8
Here is the deal haters are going to hate you know matter what you do in life. That’s what they do is hate that’s their Job to hate. So trying to avoid haters by pleasing everyone is not the answer. When you do that you start to cloud what you believe. You will do things that you would not normally do to have others like you. Your standards change your vision gets cloudy and now you are trying to please others and not God.
John 15:19 says
If you were of the world, the world would love you as its own; but because you are not of the world, but I chose you out of the world, therefore the world hates you.
This is the deal God’s got your back so I wouldn’t worry too much about the haters
I’ve yet to meet a person who was completely satisfied with who they are or what they had. Yes, I know a lot of people from all walks of life and they always want more they never have enough. For some it money or power, others it shoes or free time. I could list pages of things that people seek after get it and it’s still not enough they long to fill something inside them but what. So ask yourself……….
Are you satisfied with what you have, who you are, where you live or what you have accomplished? See the God’s word tell us that there is only one that can full fill us.
3Jesus said to her, “Everyone who drinks of this water will be thirsty again, 14but whoever drinks of the water that I will give him will never be thirsty again. The water that I will give him will become in him a spring of water welling up to eternal life.” 15The woman said to him, “Sir, give me this water, so that I will not be thirsty or have to come here to draw water.” John 4 13-15
See the truth is we can chase after all kinds of things but with out Jesus we will still thirst for something to fill us.
What is your Platform is it work or school. Everywhere you go if you say you are a Christ follower a Christian then God’s word tells us we should let our light shine.
16 In the same way, let your light shine before others, so that they may see your good works and give glory to your Father who is in heaven. Matt 5:16
Here is a video from a friend of mine about standing on your platform. Hope you enjoy!
I say this a lot don’t get it twisted the question is why. The reason today is this Website Blog or whatever you will call it is NOT ABOUT ME has nothing to do with me the only reason I use my name is because not about me was taken and don’t get it twisted where taken. It’s pretty simple Jesus has come into my life and made me new. He is working in me every day and I just want to share that with others in everything I do. I want it all to point to God; no I’m not perfect but like Paul says
19Though I am free and belong to no man, I make myself a slave to everyone, to win as many as possible. 20To the Jews I became like a Jew, to win the Jews. To those under the law I became like one under the law (though I myself am not under the law), so as to win those under the law. 21To those not having the law I became like one not having the law (though I am not free from God’s law but am under Christ’s law), so as to win those not having the law. 22To the weak I became weak, to win the weak. I have become all things to all men so that by all possible means I might save some. 23I do all this for the sake of the gospel, that I may share in its blessings.
24Do you not know that in a race all the runners run, but only one gets the prize? Run in such a way as to get the prize.
25Everyone who competes in the games goes into strict training. They do it to get a crown that will not last; but we do it to get a crown that will last forever. 26Therefore I do not run like a man running aimlessly; I do not fight like a man beating the air. 27No, I beat my body and make it my slave so that after I have preached to others, I myself will not be disqualified for the prize. 1 Corinthians 9 19-27
I pray this touches you in some way and that you will be bold for Jesus in everything you do.
