24 hours with a MacBook Pro and ………

So I’ve had a MacBook now for 24hrs and let me just tell you that it has changed ………….nothing. Now before you call in the Apple Swat team and go all apple this, apple that on me.  Don’t get me wrong the MacBook Pro is a nice piece of hardware. I don’t need to tell an apple fan like yourself that.

What I need is your help. Let me know what I need to do or not  do to make jump for joy over my MacBook pro besides the fact it loads fast and looks better than any pc I’ve seen. So post you comment, speak up help me step my Mac game up.

Also for you help I will randomly pick from the helpful comments and send you a Starbucks gift card. Thanks in advance for the help.

First thing to do is go to System Preferences – Expose and Spaces. Under Expose set the top-left corner to bring up All Windows.

The next thing to do is subscribe to http://www.GodsMac.com (wink wink).

Here are a few apps that I am a fan of and miss extremely on my work Windows PC…

1Password (keep track of all your passwords for everything, all you need to remember is 1)

Adium (great instant messenger app that integrates all sorts of systems like MSN, Google Talk, etc.)

Coda (a programmer/development application that has everything built into one piece of software)

Dropbox (not mac specific, but none the less, great)

Evernote (again not mac specific, but great)

HTTP Client (more geeky, programmer stuff)

iWork (especially Keynote. If you’re making presentations, always use Keynote)

LittleSnapper (quick, easy way to take screenshots, add text, arrows, etc.)

Skitch (another flavor of screenshots, but it’s free!)

Quicksilver (power app launching utility as well as great search)

Scrivener (great if you are doing any writing)

    TextMate (more geek stuff)

Things (absolute best to do management app)

Think (simple app that allows you to “black” everything else out except for one application to help you focus)

Tweetie (best Twitter app for mac)

xPad (a great place for notes, nothing fancy, but all in one place)
